I have started a new daily twitter meme #shotdrinksaturday. Saturday, May 9, 2009 I am organizing the first #shotdrinksaturday. If you are on twitter, you can follow us @pourmeashot and join in on the fun.

What are Daily Twitter Memes? They are daily events on Twitter where users place a hashtag (#) in their tweets to identify them for a specific subject or event. A well known daily Twitter meme is #followfriday, where twitter users suggest interesting people that they follow and recommend them to others.

How Did I Come Up With The Idea?

Well I did searches on Twitter for shot drinks, shots and drinking and I noticed people were always tweeting about who they were doing shots with, what kind of shots they were drinking, and where they were drinking.

I figured Saturday would be a good day, since most people were either off work or out that night.

What’s the purpose of #shotdrinksaturday?

Let people know what shot drink you are drinking, who you are drinking with and where you are drinking…of course on Saturdays.

How To Participate in #shotdrinksaturday

Every time you tweet about a shot drink on Saturday, use the hashtag followed by shotdrinksaturday somewhere in your tweet, example: #shotdrinksaturday Of course if you ran out of room in your tweet you could abbreviate #sds.

Just a few suggestions…

• If you are a bar/club, you could post shot drink specials or happy hours on Saturdays
• If you have a favorite shot drink recipe you could post it on Saturdays
• If you are going out let your friend know where you’ll be drinking shots

Important Note: As always you should use caution when tweeting personal information for your own safety. Please do not drink and drive. Drink in moderation and if you are not of legal drinking age in the area in which you live, simply, DON’T DRINK!

Apparently our web site went down February 24, 2009 and was down till February 27th. I schedule posts way in advance and it was a couple of days before I realized what had happened.

The day I realized what had happened I contacted my host, Host Gator, and received an email that my Word Press database had crashed. By the time a got home later that day, the database was restored and everything was fine.

Host Gator absolutely rocks!!! Every time I have ever had a problem they have corrected it promptly. I have a regular account and a reseller account with their company and I highly recommend them as a web host. Their rates are reasonable and their service is excellent!

Tomorrow regular posts will resume and during this month I will be adding some cool new FREE stuff

Please pardon our mess. We are in the process of redesigning the web site to bring you a cleaner design and one that’s easier to navigate.

All changes should be made by Jan. 17, 2009 and then we will resume adding new recipes and bartending information.

We offer free shot and shooter drink recipes. Don’t worry you don’t have to register or sign up for anything to have access to the free drink recipes. Just enjoy!

After typing in your search word just press enter or click on the magnifying glass and it will perform a search of all posts with that word.
