Shot glasses can come in all shapes and sizes, but they usually never hold more than 2 ounces. The average shot is 1-1/2 ounces.
Shot glasses are designed to hold or measure liquor, to be either poured into a mixed drink or drunk straight from the glass (a “shot”).
A traditional shot glass is made of a thick glass, especially at the base. Today you’ll find shot glasses in an assortment of shapes and sizes decorated with advertising, humorous pictures or sayings, and company brand names.
